Tutorials > Schedule a Flow

To schedule a flow in Slipstream, start by navigating to the "Scheduler" tab from the left sidebar. Once there, click the "Schedule a Flow" button in the top right corner to begin creating a new schedule.

Accessing the "Scheduler" tab to create a new flow schedule.

On the "Create a Flow Schedule" page, enter a name for your schedule in the "Name" field. Then, click "Select a Flow" to choose the flow you want to schedule.

Entering schedule details and selecting a flow to run.

A pop-up window will appear where you can search for your flow. Find the appropriate flow and click "+ Select Flow" to add it to your schedule.

Next, set the date and time for the flow to run under "Run on". Use the dropdown menus to select the exact time. If you want the flow to repeat, click the "Repeat" dropdown and choose a frequency, such as "Weekly on the same day of the week". If you select a repeating schedule, you’ll also need to decide whether it should run "Forever" or "Set End Date".

Now, select the users or teams who should be assigned to this flow. By default, the flow is scheduled for "Myself", but you can switch to "Others" if you want to assign it to a different user or team. Use the search bar to find specific people or teams and add them to the schedule.

Make sure to double check that all of your assignees are correctly assigned to the Schedule. All the assignees will have their own flows started for them, so make sure that this is the behavior that you’re expecting. If you only want to start a schedule for a certain section of a team, we recommend making another team with just the people that you’re wanting. You can read more on how we recommend you configure users and teams in our How Teams and Roles work guide.

Once everything is set, click the "Schedule" button to save your flow schedule. You’ll be redirected back to the "Scheduler" page, where you’ll see a confirmation message saying "Schedule successfully created". Your newly scheduled flow will now appear in the list, showing the name, assigned users, and frequency details.
